Brentford Set To Make Club History With Kevin Schade Signing

Brentford has officially confirmed their agreement to sign Kevin Schade, a Freiburg forward, for a potential record-breaking fee.

This campaign, the Bees have seen another successful season following last year’s 13th-place finish in the Premier League.

Thomas Frank’s club is now ninth on the list, with 10 points earned from games against Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, and Liverpool.

Rather than settle with a 12-point lead over the relegation zone, Brentford has undertaken another impressive signing.

Brentford has acquired Schade on a loan basis until the end of the season, with expectations that they will make it a club-record signing during the summer.

So far, Schade’s campaign has been incredibly difficult; with just two starts and 10 appearances as a substitute in both the Bundesliga and Europa League.

The Germany Under-21 international finishes his time with Freiburg after 36 appearances, during which he scored two goals and provided four assists – one of which was the decisive strike in their 4-0 victory over Nantes.

Frank commented on the club’s official website about Kevin’s signing, noting that the player is in line with Brentford’s approach: a promising young talent with clear potential. Discussing his interest in the player, Frank said he had been monitoring him for some time and saw him as suitable for their style of play.

He is capable of participating in any of our front line’s three attacking positions. Not only does he have blistering speed, but his runs are also highly promising.

He is an aerial specialist, both in his own box and the opposition, and with further development stands to pose a real threat heading forwards.

Brentford declared that the transfer is dependent on international clearance, which they wish to achieve before the third round of the FA Cup against West Ham United at the weekend.

If Brentford does not agree on a deal before noon on Friday, Schade won’t be an option for the match against Bournemouth next Thursday.
