After his cancer worsened, Pele’s daughter promised to stand by his side as he receives medical treatment in a hospital.
After having a tumour got remove from his intestines in September 2021, the 82-year-old was to the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo on November 29.
In a statement released earlier this week, the hospital’s press representative stated that Pele required more care “due to renal failure and cardiac dysfunctions.”
Pele’s daughter Kely Nascimento has stated that his family will spend Christmas with him in the hospital.
She shared a photo on Instagram this past Saturday of herself at the hospital with two of Pele’s children and one of her sons.
Kely Nascimento is a soccer star from Brazil and is a world champion with the Mexican women’s team. However, she tweets, “He (Edson) is here.”
She then commented with this picture and added in a hashtag #IWillNotBeLeavingNobodyWillTake Me OutOfHere

At the 1958 World Cup, Pele, then just 17 years old, made himself known to the world.
He helped Brazil to their first of five World Cup victories. Pele’s performance in the finals in 1962 and 1966, has hampered by the injury, but he bounced back to help Brazil win in Mexico in 1970. This group perceive as the greatest of all time.
Despite Pele’s official statistics, there are plenty of people who believe he scored more than 757 goals in his 831 games. It’s believed that this number is closer to 1,000.
